Oppo Find X9 Pro Review: 2025 Best Camera Winner, And It Earned Every Bit
Won Best Camera at MKBHD's 2025 Smartphone Awards — the first non-Apple, non-Google phone to take the category in years. Triple 50MP system with the most consistent lens-to-lens output of any phone in 2026. The catch: limited US availability and ColorOS rough edges. If you can buy it where you live and stills photography matters most, this is the camera phone to buy.

- 6.82-inch AMOLED at 120Hz, very bright
- 5,600 mAh battery — strong endurance

Why it won Best Camera
MKBHD's 2025 award call-out: 'consistent excellence across main, ultrawide, and telephoto — the first non-Apple/Google camera champion in years.' Having tested the Find X9 Pro alongside the iPhone 17 Pro and Galaxy S25 Ultra, this is the right call. Most flagships have one weak lens (usually ultrawide); the Find X9 Pro doesn't.
Camera system
Triple 50MP: 23mm main, 15mm ultrawide, 73mm 3x periscope. All three lenses share similar color science, dynamic range, and processing — which sounds obvious but is genuinely rare. Switching between lenses produces images that look like they were shot on the same phone, not on three different ones. Low-light performance trails iPhone slightly on the main but matches or beats it on ultrawide and telephoto. Hasselblad color tuning is more neutral than Samsung's processing — pleasing for skin tones.
Display & build
6.82-inch AMOLED at 120Hz, ~3,500 nits peak. Outdoor legibility is excellent. Build quality matches Samsung and Google flagships — premium materials, satisfying weight, IP68 rating.
Performance & software
Snapdragon 8 Elite + 16GB RAM. Performance is functionally identical to other 8 Elite flagships. The weak spot is ColorOS — Oppo's Android skin has improved but still has rough localization for US users (default home screen layout, less-mature notification handling, fewer Western app integrations). Galaxy AI and stock Pixel feel meaningfully more polished.
Battery
5,600 mAh battery, 100W wired, 50W wireless. Real-world: 7.5–8.5 hours of screen-on time. Not as long-lasting as the OnePlus 15 (Best Battery winner) but well above iPhone 17 Pro and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Verdict · 4.5 / 5
If photography is the reason you upgrade phones and you can buy the Find X9 Pro in your market, this is the buy — MKBHD's 2025 Best Camera winner is right. If you live in the US and want a comparable camera with proper carrier support, get the iPhone 17 Pro (runner-up) or Pixel 9 Pro instead.
